Accreditation

Accreditation Statement:

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and the Pain Medicine Academy of Advanced Practice Providers. Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician Associate Credit:

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 15.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Program Overview:

The joint providership of Annenberg Center of Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Pain Medicine Academy of Advanced Practice Providers (PMAAPP) presents the 2nd Annual PMAAPP National Conference. This educational activity will deliver a comprehensive update highlighting the most clinically relevant advances in pain management.

 

Target Audience:

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners, physician assistants/associates, and nurses who are currently managing and treating patients in pain medicine.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and evidence-based assessment strategies for a broad range of acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions.

  • Apply multimodal, patient-centered treatment strategies — including pharmacologic, interventional, behavioral, and integrative approaches — to optimize outcomes for patients with acute and chronic pain.

  • Evaluate the current evidence supporting emerging and adjunctive therapies in pain management.

Physician Credit:

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Nurse Credit:

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.75 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
